Puerto Vallarta Restaurant Review:

TRIO
restaurant is an upscale dining experience as fine as any you'll find in Puerto Vallarta.

SETTING  -  A charming former colonial town home in old downtown.

FOOD  -  First class Mediterranean/Contemporary.  The menu continually evolves, so by the
time you visit, it will be some what different.  But I can tell you this:  you will not be
disappointed.  The calamari appetizer was not breaded as you might expect, but marinated,
tender, and delicious.  The Duck Confit on Barley Risotto was equally good.   I've had a couple of
their pastas (like the Veal Ravioli with Artichokes) and they were outstanding.  Pastas are
available as either a full order or appetizer.  The Seabass with Mushroom Crust and Red Wine
Butter was wonderful.  And the Berry Sorbet in a chilled martini glass was the perfect finish
to the meal.

AMBIANCE  -  Cobblestone street, beautiful building inside and out, warm and inviting.  Very
nice.  To find out more about the restaurant (and see more photos), go to their
web site.

RESERVATIONS  -  A must.  A day or two ahead wouldn't hurt.  And Trio is only open for dinner.

BOTTOM LINE  -  Trio is one of the top restaurants in Puerto Vallarta.
